Getting unwanted calls on your cell phone? Being charged for minutes? The FCC does allow you to put your cell # on the National Do Not Call Registry. Yes the same one you can use to register your home or business phone.
You can easily add your number to the do not call list on line (https://www.donotcall.gov/) OR by calling by calling the registry at 1-888-382-1222 from the phone you want to register.
Per FCC regulations, telemarketers are already prohibited from using automated dialers to call cell phone numbers — but many are calling anyway, and YES you are charged for those minutes. Because of this, millions of mobile consumers have already signed up, and so can you.
