Michael Randles


Mike has been with the agency for thirty-four years. At Insurance Center Associates, Mike is responsible for operations and accounting, as well as being the Life and Employee Benefit specialist. Mike attended Cal Poly University, Pomona and began his insurance career as a management trainee with Aetna Life & Casualty. After three years as a Brokerage Supervisor for Aetna, Mike moved to a sales and marketing position at an independent agency in the Long Beach area where he administered an insurance program for the City of Long Beach and a Los Angeles based hospital chain.

Mike is active in agency automation and customer service. He has served as president and board member for the AMS (Agency Management Systems) User Group. He shares his knowledge speaking to other agencies nearly every year and has been featured speaker at the several ACORD and yearly Agency technology conferences. Mike is well known in industry circles for his forward-thinking ideas and serves on insurance company producer advisory councils for Safeco, Mercury, Unitrin, and Farmers (FACT) Program.

Mike has received various industry awards and recognition for his efforts. Both he and the agency are both very much civic-minded, and he has served on and volunteers on a number of committees with the local non-profit organizations and Chamber of Commerce.

Brenda Higgins

Personal Sales & Service

Brenda has been a California state licensed insurance agent since 1997. Joining Insurance Center Associates sixteen years ago, she has worked at both of our locations, helping numerous customers find comprehensive insurance coverage that meets their needs.

Brenda has attended many classes offered by insurance companies and associations, as well as industry workshops and is responsible for all Personal Lines Insurance Products.

Brien McElhoes

Personal Sales & Service Manager

Brien joined Insurance Center Associates thirty-one years ago after working as a sales manager outside the industry and for Aetna Life as a benefit counselor. His insurance education includes the PIA insurance school at Pepperdine University in Malibu California; Safeco Home Office Commercial Lines training; and other insurance training.

Brien has received two Personal Lines Insurance Achievement Awards from Safeco Insurance, is known for his humor and upbeat attitude, and is well-versed in insurance coverage and requirements.

Brigette Porter

Commercial Sales Manager

Brigette has been with Insurance Center Associates for thirty-two years. She started as a personal lines assistant, advancing through the years to her current position as Manager of Commercial Sales. Brigette excels in customer satisfaction because of her insurance knowledge, attention to detail, and positive attitude.

Brigette has attended many courses offered by insurance companies, local associations, and the National Alliance for Education. She is known as our “agency cheerleader” due to her bright positive attitude. She continues to be responsible for the success, growth, and service of many commercial clients.

Hershell Mann

Personal Sales & Service Manager

Hershell has been with the agency for eighteen years. Prior to joining Insurance Center Associates, Hershell was a senior agent with AAA receiving many awards for outstanding customer service and sales excellence. He was also named a “Mentor Agent.” Hershell has completed numerous general insurance, carrier-specific, and sales related courses.

Hershell began his professional career as a production planner with Northrup Aircraft while attending El Camino and Long Beach State Colleges. Following that Hershell spent twenty years in the construction industry with special emphasis in high value homes all bringing skills and knowledge to his position at ICA.

Kathy Canto

Personal Sales & Service

Kathy joined Insurance Center Associates nine years ago. A graduate of Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, Kathy became a licensed agent in 2007. Before coming to the agency, she was a successful home warranty insurance account executive earning “Salesperson of the Year” award for three consecutive years.

Kathy also has experience in the real estate industry and brings this knowledge to her homeowner specialty. Kathy is an active member of the National Association of Insurance Women (NAIW).

Kimberly Morgan

Lead Service Agent

Kimberley joined Insurance Center Associates seventeen years ago. She is a second generation insurance agent following in her father’s footsteps.

Kim began her insurance career in 1987 as a life underwriter for Jackson National Life. Moving to property and casualty, Kim spent the next twelve years in various positions with State Farm Insurance, and AAA as a Senior Claims Adjuster.

Linda Goodyear

Commercial Sales & Service Manager

Linda has been with the agency thirty-seven years. She has a comprehensive knowledge and understanding of commercial coverages, markets, and underwriting requirements, specializing in small to medium business.

Before coming to the agency, Linda was an underwriting supervisor with GEICO. After joining Insurance Center Associates, Linda supervised Personal Sales and Service. In 1999 she moved to Commercial Sales and Service, becoming manager in 2002.

Linda has attend numerous carrier and industry workshops including a dynamic two-week Commercial Lines course at Safeco University in Seattle.

Lori Gasser

Personal Sales & Service Assistant Manager

Lori comes from a long line of insurance professionals. As a third generation insurance agent, she spent her early years helping her grandmother and mother in the office while learning about insurance. In 1988 Lori earned her insurance license.

Lori briefly left the insurance industry to run a successful trucking business. Returning to the agency she brings a business expertise and is now the personal property specialist, agency administrator and an integral member of the agency.

Melodie Wadman, CISR

Personal Sales & Service

Melodie has been with Insurance Center Associates for fifteen years. She is a dedicated insurance professional with twenty-eight years of well-rounded experience. Melodie began her career with an independent agency and then became the lead service representative for a large State Farm office. She has also been a claims representative for Liberty Mutual.

Melodie has held the Certified Insurance Service Representative (CISR) accreditation since 2000. In addition to the classes required for CISR, Melodie has attended numerous company classes and courses. She is also an active member of “Compassionate Friends,” a non-profit assistance group.

Patricia Cantu

Personal Sales & Service

Patricia came to Insurance Center Associates ten years ago with a strong insurance and customer service background. Her career started in 1996 when she joined a small agency in Rancho Palos Verdes, continuing on to a customer service supervisor position with an insurance company, and then returning to the agency environment where she thrives. Patricia is fluent in Spanish and enjoys helping clients.

Throughout her professional life, Patricia has received multiple awards including employee of the month and a 99% Customer Satisfaction score.

Sandra Arambula

Sandra came to Insurance Center Associates in 2007 after working eight years for an insurance company. One of our most sought after bilingual agents, Sandra is well-versed in personal insurance and is known for her positive, can-do attitude!

Sandra regularly receives praise from her clients, and when not helping clients she is busy mother looking after her children.

Sara Lopez

Personal Sales & Service

Sara has been with Insurance Center Associates for eleven years. Fluent in Spanish, she started her career in 1987 specializing in personal insurance for a credit union. Sara earned additional experience working for both Farmers and State Farm agencies, expanding her skills and insurance understanding and earning the “employee of the month” award multiple times.

Specializing in Personal Insurance accounts, Sara has made Insurance Center Associates her home and gets high marks from all her customers.

Shirley Cimino, CPCU, AAI, CPIW

Commercial Manager

Shirley has been in the insurance industry sixty-five years – fifty-three on the agency side, and thirty-four as an agency owner/executive. She holds CPCU, AAI, CPIW designations, and a Professional Development accreditation from Insurance Institutes and CPCU Society. Through the years, Shirley has attended as well as taught many insurance classes and seminars.

Shirley served as National President of the National Association of Insurance Women (NAIW), and the first woman ever to serve on the National Board of Trustees and Executive committee for the AICPCU (American Institute for Charted Property & Casualty Underwriters). Shirley served on the Examination Committee for the Insurance Institutes for 19 years. She was proudly named the “Insurance Woman of the Year” by Region VIII, NAIW in 1974 and was inducted into their Hall of Fame in 1996.

In 2002, Shirley decided to spend more time with family and concentrate on VIP accounts. At that time, she turned over management operations of her agency, C & S Insurance, choosing to partner with Insurance Center Associates. Shirley remains one of our most respected advisors.

Tina Hernandez

Personal & Commercial Sales & Service

A Magna Cum Laude-graduate of California State University, Dominguez Hills, Tina became a licensed agent in 2012. Shortly after obtaining her license, she joined Insurance Center Associates. Prior to coming to the agency, she worked in customer service and marketing, her previous experience along with her eagerness to learn and help clients, has made for great customer reviews.

Marie Ennis

Marie was born and raised in England, where she attended college and obtained a Royal Society of Arts Certification in Business. She moved to the United States not long after she was married, where she and her husband have raised their three wonderful boys.

She has been with the Agency & Bookhammer for fourteen years, with over 20 years experience in customer service. In 2004 she obtained her Property & Casualty Agent’s license. She is very knowledgeable in personal lines of insurance. Her clients love her and we’re confident you will too!

Marie is still in awe of our beautiful California weather and enjoys spending time with her family and friends.

Silvia Palomera

Silvia is a newer member of our team, but “has insurance in herblood”. She loves servicing clients, and making a difference in their lives & insurance program. In her spare time, Silvia loves enjoying time with her family

Miguel Reynaga

Miguel comes to Insurance Center Associates with over 15 years of experience, including time meeting and getting to know our newest customers with Dale’s Insurance Agency! Miguel enjoys creating policies to fit individual needs, with an emphasis on long term relationship building, as well as excellent customer service.

He is bilingual and grew up in Los Angeles, CA and where he has lived his entire life. He enjoys spending time with his family, dog, fishing and camping. Prior to coming on board he became a Notary Public. His dedication to customer satisfaction has earned him excellent ratings at all of the companies he has worked for.
